boys 2 MEN Summer Work Program

Each year, as boys 2 MEN graduates its 8th grade students, they are recognized and rewarded for their outstanding commitment.  As a reward, the young men are offered summer employment.  Students are chosen by administration and faculty to interview for various paid positions (made possible through grants)available within the community through our partners.  Once chosen by an employer, all arrangements and accommodations are made for these young men (transportation to and from work, financial planning, educational worksite enrichment, etc.)   boys 2 MEN has been awarded (2 consecutive years) as the 'Top Summer Youth Work Program' in the state.  Our young men not only learn the importance of work ethic, but also the significance of their earnings in relation to facilitating their families.

Summer Work Program

This year, once again through funding from Susquehanna Network Workforce and Harford County Public School, boys 2 MEN was able to employ 30 young men to work throughout multiple Harford County schools and Harford Glen.  The young men also supported their own community with the beautification of the "Welcome to Edgewood" sign off of Rte. 40.  The students worked extremely diligently this year to enrich the interiors and exteriors of the schools as well as the restoration and embellishment to the Harford Glen Campus.
